Your chance to shape the future of Sioux Falls
Sioux Falls Tomorrow III is ramping up with a survey, public meetings and a goal of shaping community life during the next decade.
For the third time; once in 1994 and again in 2004, the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation is spearheading a project of visioning the future of greater Sioux Falls. They are asking people living in Lincoln, Minnehaha, Turner and McCook counties, as well as those nearby in Iowa and Minnesota, to take a survey that focuses on the economic vitality of greater Sioux Falls. The survey also focuses on education, local government services, quality of life and social services.
The results then will become part of planning meetings that begin in January, continue into early May, and will be broken down into work groups covering the five aspects of community life covered in the survey. The more input they receive, the more significant the results.
Anyone wanting to take the Sioux Falls Tomorrow III survey can go online through Friday, Jan. 31. The survey also will be an insert in the Jan. 21 edition of the Argus Leader. The survey focuses on how to improve community life here, especially in the areas of economic vitality, education, local government services, quality of life and social services.
